The Sunday before the conference, Jan. 27, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary at Southern Hills, OKC there will be a Prayer Solemn Assembly led by Dr. Greg Frizzell. Dr. Frizzell will lead you through a time of corporate prayer as a body of believers who truly desire to seek the Lord in repentance and cleansing. You won’t want to miss this special time! We pray that you will want to come and be a part of the great awakening God desires from each one of us. Please note that if you’re unable to attend the solemn assembly at Southern Hills, your church may conduct an assembly at their own location. The book, How to Conduct a Solemn Assembly, is available from the BGCO Office of Prayer. Please contact Pat Jones for more information, pjones@bgco.org.
The Evangelism Group welcomes Journey to SEC, Sr. Adult Luncheon and breakout sessions to the conference on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013. Vendor booths will be located in the South house on the lower level only. Space is very limited this year. More information about booths will be communicated in December. If you have any immediate questions, please contact Erin Clark eclark@bgco.org or 405.942.3000, Ext. 4313.
The kickoff to SERVE OKLAHOMA will be at SEC this year! SERVE OKLAHOMA is a state-wide emphasis that will mobilize the church to take Jesus outside the walls of the church building to “be the church” instead of just “doing church.” During the conference our desire is for you to commit to leading your church by:
*Designating March 2013 as SERVE OKLAHOMA MONTH
*Organizing a Day of Service and a Season of Service through your Sunday School or small groups
*Sharing your church’s story with the Baptist Messenger
Resources and additional information will be made available online and also at the conference in January.
